[Issues] Ingest currently broken

Hi All,

This is my fault.

I have been optimizing how the system ingests data in preparation for 
ingesting a from larger variety of data sources.  I had committed one module 
and missed a critical dependency in other module that required more 
modifications.  I have committed the changes that fix the error below.

Please reply to this thread if there are any further ingestion problems.
