[Issues] CVS code issues

Hi,
It seems that when our last major AstroWise code update was made in Munich
(probably last week, or the previous week, on a Monday), there was a
seriously unstable version of code in the CVS. These problems relate to
the interface with SQL queries, and sometimes returns incorrect values
from the database (such as filenames, chip names, etc). Possibly related,
astrometry tasks (which with the current code work) also fail, with the
error that the requested reducedscienceframe does not exist (untrue).
Therefore I have 2 questions:
1. Could anyone explain what was happening with the code at that time, and
could the use of this code lead to any lasting problems with our database?
2. Could people updating code in cvs please be more careful in future,
or/and could we better synchronize our updates based upon the stability of
code in the CVS?
Right now Jan is not in Munich, leaving no-one here who can update the
/afs (used by all) version of our code.
Cheers,
Dave & Hans
