Dear Astro-Wiser,
Recently the "OmegaCAM Data Flow System" pipeline and documentation have been
delivered to ESO for the "Preliminary Acceptance Europe" of OmegaCAM.
The OmegaCAM pipeline that has been delivered is a copy of the Astro-Wise
pipeline. The difference is that for the OmegaCAM pipeline delivered to ESO
a command line interface based on files is used, whereas the Astro-Wise
pipeline is database driven.
The documentation can be found in the OmegaCEN-NL documents section of the
Astro-Wise website - http://www.astro-wise.org/
The OmegaCAM DFS - Calibration Plan, by Valentijn et al., can be found here
http://www.astro.rug.nl/~omegacam/documents/skelCP21.pdf
and the OmegaCAM DFS - Users and programmers manual, by Rengelink et al., here
http://www.astro.rug.nl/~omegacam/documents/skelPro21.pdf
Note that the "Users and programmers manual" includes a description of the
usage of the file-based commands. An Astro-Wise copy of this document that
includes an explanation of the database-driven commands is being prepared.
The above documents are complementary to the "Astro-Wise Environment User and
Development manual" which is mandatory reading for both new and experienced
users. This manual is updated and extended continuously. In particular, a new
section on Quality Control will make its debut in this manual in the next few
weeks.
The most recent version is always available as
http://www.astro-wise.org/docs/Manual.pdf
and, of course, in LaTeX form from the CVS opipe/docs repository.
Happy reading,
Danny R. Boxhoorn
