[Comm2011] Notes about the coming night (2011-03-30)

 Today Achim has been working on replacing flow meters for the
(water-cooled) FIERAs. He leaves the old ones operable for the
moment, while the new ones are installed alongside. The old meters
are causing multiple false alarms (technical guys come armed with
beepers, but they like to sleep too). They are greatly
overdimensioned, capable of handling 160L/minute, while OmegaCAM only
requires a capacity of 4L/minute. This work will be completed by
Paranal staff.  

 The crosstalk between CCDs 94,95 and 96 may be caused by a faulty
preamp or videoboard, according to Dietrich. To discriminate which is
causing the problem the cables for 2 CCDs will be replaced for
tonights observations.
